Misean Cara members mobilising resources
In addition to the funds that we contribute to our members, we require that they provide at least 25% of the budget needed for their projects (with the exception of Emergency and Innovation Funds). Of that 25%, not more than 10% can be in-kind contributions and a minimum of 15% must be in cash. In 2021, as has been the trend for many years now, our members far surpassed this requirement, mobilising greater than 50% of their projects’ budgets.
Diversifying Income Streams
Our successful building of relationships over recent years has allowed us to further enhance and diversify our funding streams. We are extremely grateful for all the support we received in 2021 and would like to thank our funders Irish Aid, US-based GHR Foundation, Raskob Foundation, Brigidine Sisters and ESB Electric Aid. And to Americares, for providing free healthcare training programmes for frontline staff in member projects.
Our fundraising strategy is to ensure the sustainability of our work and to align with partners who share the same goals and values of Misean Cara and our work in helping those furthest behind.
