Misean Cara Welcomes Two New Board Members
Misean Cara is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members co-opted to its Board of Directors: Ms. Marie Mulvey and Mr. Charlie Lamson. Their co-option on 11th November follows the earlier appointment to the Board of Fr. David Kenneally, a member of the Missionary Society of St. Columban, at the Misean Cara AGM in June 2020.

About Marie Mulvey
Marie Mulvey is a Strategic Human Resources professional with more than 20 years of experience in industries such as Financial Services, Technology, Clinical Research, Utilities and Retail & Property. Her areas of expertise include Employee Engagement and Relations, Performance Management, Project Management, Organisational Change and Development, and Employment Law. In her current role as an independent HR Consultant, she provides HR expertise and solutions for companies and organisations. Previously, as Group HR Director at Irish Estate Agent Network Sherry FitzGerald, Ms. Mulvey was responsible for the organisation’s Group People Strategy, Group Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, and Leadership and Employee Experience initiatives.
She has also served as the Head of HR Consultancy with Ulster Bank, and has held HR roles with Primark Stores Ltd, SSE Plc, Airtricity, Norkom Technologies & ICON Clinical Research. Ms. Mulvey holds a BA in Human Resources Management from the National College of Ireland, a Certificate in Personnel Practice (CIPD) from Tallaght Institute of Technology and a Diploma in Personal, Executive & Leadership Coaching with Kingstown College.
About Charlie Lamson
Charlie Lamson brings more than 20 years of experience as a not-for-profit leader and fundraising professional in the US and Ireland to his Board appointment with Misean Cara. He served most recently as CEO of Sightsavers Ireland, where he developed and implemented a multi-year strategic plan and provided executive oversight to the organisation’s many initiatives. While in this role he also represented Sightsavers as a sitting Board member of Dóchas—the Irish Association of Non-Governmental Development Organisations. His previous positions have included a role as Director of Development at Dublin City University Educational Trust, Head of Development for Front Line Defenders, and Corporate Campaigns Manager for Children’s Hospital Boston.
Mr. Lamson is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) with a Master of Arts degree in International Economics/ Social & Economic Development in Eastern Europe. His experience in the international development sector also includes a posting with the United States Peace Corps as a Volunteer English Teacher in Pleven, Bulgaria from 1993-1995, and a role at The American University in Bulgaria directing fundraising grants and contract programmes. He is a dual US and Irish citizen.
