Hope in Crisis: Irish missionary organisations advancing Education for the Displaced

Dr. Margo O’Sullivan

In her blog for International Day of Education 2025, Dr. Margo O’Sullivan – Director of Programmes, Power Teachers Africa – reflects on the impact of education projects for the displaced as led by Irish missionary organisations.

The review identified best practices across five key areas: governance and management, holistic education and pedagogy, project staff, teachers and volunteers, safety and security, and stakeholder engagement.
